Account Developer - Sales

Responsibilities:

As a Sales Associate in our new San Francisco office, you'll be in charge of growing our client base in the Bay Area. We'll provide some inbound leads which you'll be expected to immediately reach out to and visit them in person at their office or host them at our office. You'll also be required to attend many networking events where you can build a network and bring in leads for your own personal pipeline. We'll also expect you to directly reach out to targeted individuals to help boster your pipeline. The majority of your time spent each day will be prospecting your own leads and working to get them qualified to enter the sales funnel.

You'll mainly be working on developing business opportunities where you educate the prospective clients about 97th Floor and understand the needs of the company. Then working in collaboration with tenured 97th Floor sales associates on the deal. Once you understand what they need and how our services can help them, you'll then bring in our Sales Engineer and Director of Sales to take the next steps of creating a pitch for the prospective client and construct an agreement.

You will report directly with our Director of Sales and work with the rest of the sales team. Initially, our San Francisco location will have two people from sales. There will be occasional travel to our Utah headquarters, especially in the beginning. Team members from HQ will also visit the San Francisco office frequently to train and help with sales leads that are progressing down the sales funnel.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Knowledge surrounding aspects of digital marketing (Content Marketing, SEO, Social Media, PPC. etc.) and how they all work together. Also an understanding of how each digital marketing channel helps companies with their overall business goals.
  • 1-5+ years experience in the digital marketing (sales, fulfillment, analyst, etc).
  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred but not required).
  • Beginner to Intermediate understanding of Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Adobe Analytics.
  • Experience with (preferred but not required) Moz, Link Research Tools, Majestic SEO, Ahrefs and similar tools.
  • Ability to organize and analyze data with Excel/Google Spreadsheets.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Self disciplined and motivated as well as a team player.
  • Thirst for knowledge...constantly reading, studying and testing.
  • Uber competitive but always compassionate and helpful to others.
  • Creative and innovative.
  • Ability to meet deadlines even if that means working weekends or late nights sometimes.
  • Excellent communication skills via email, phone call, in-person, etc.
  • Not afraid of reaching out to complete strangers and able to quickly connect and build a bond with them...the more social you are the better.
  • An existing network in the digital marketing space in the Bay Area is huge plus but also not required.

  • Dependent Care FSA (Flexible Spending Account). Contribute pre-tax dollars for child care or elderly care costs that insurance doesn't cover (deductibles, copays, prescriptions, etc). Starts the first day of the month after your hire date.
  • Commuter Benefit. We contribute $50 per month for mass transit and you are able to contribute more money on a pre-tax basis. Starts the first day of the month after your start date.
  • 97th Floor Library. We'll buy (almost) any book you want for our library.
